Training Times & Coaching Groups
Weekly winter coaching and training sessions. Please confirm your attendance before arriving for 1st session.
MONDAYS (2 sessions at Bradford College, Trinity Road) 1) Over 15’s 5pm – 6.30pm : Indoor track and field training and conditioning. At these sessions we provide serious coaching for athletes interested in learning and developing their skills at the full range of track and field events as well as strength and conditioning work. 2) Under 15’s 6.30pm – 7.30pm : Indoor Sports Hall Athletics. At these sessions we introduce youngsters to a range of indoor running, jumping and throwing events.
TUESDAYS (1 session at Horsfall Athletic Stadium, Cemetery Road, off Halifax Road, Odsal) Over 15’s 7pm – 8.30pm : Outdoor endurance training. At these sessions we do strength and conditioning training outdoors followed by a steady road run.
WEDNESDAY (1 session at Bradford College, Trinity Road) Over 15’s 7pm-8pm : Indoor strength and conditioning. At these sessions we do strength and conditioning training indoors followed by a steady road run.
THURSDAYS (3 sessions at Horsfall Athletic Stadium, Cemetery Road, off Halifax Road, Odsal) 1) Under 15’s 6.30pm – 7.30pm : Outdoor aerobic training. At these sessions the youngsters take part in aerobic games and short endurance running. 2) Over 15’s 7pm – 8.30pm : Outdoor track & field events training. At these sessions we provide serious coaching for athletes interested in learning and developing their skills at the full range of track and field events. 3) Over 15’s 7pm – 8.30pm : Endurance training. At these sessions we do a variety of quality training designed to help endurance runners improve their performances.
SUNDAYS (2 sessions. At Horsfall Athletic Stadium, Cemetery Road, off Halifax Road, Odsal and various off road venues) 1) Over 15’s 10am - 11.30am : Outdoor track & field events training. At these sessions we provide serious coaching for athletes interested in learning and developing their skills at the full range of track and field events. 2) Over 15’s 10.30am approx: Endurance training. A selection of off road runs starting from various locations around the district.
All under 15’s sessions and cost £2 each which includes any venue fees. All over 15’s sessions and cost the price of any venue fees. For the indoor sessions we recommend trainers, T shirt shorts and optional tracksuit. For the outdoor sessions we recommend trainers, T shirt, tracksuit, rain jacket, hat and gloves. For the over 15’s track and field session track spikes are recommended if available.
SESSIONS FOR DISABLED ATHLETES We welcome disabled and wheelchair athletes at our training sessions. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.
TRAINING SCHEDULES ARE PROVIDED FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS Membership year begins 1st of April Seniors £20 Under 21 £15 Under 17 £10 Members joining in the 2nd half of the year pay half the above fees.
